The central powers during the Great War/World War 1, were comprised of Austria-Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, and Turkey. They were considered the "bad guys" during the war. Famous central power soldiers were: Rudolf Binding, Robert Musil, Otto Dix, Erich Maria Remarque, George Grosz, Ludwig Renn, Adolf Hitler, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Alfred Jodl, Erwin Rommel, Ernst Junger, Gerbert Sulzbach, Paul Klee, Ernst Toller, Oscar Kokoschka, and Arnold Zweig.
